a sitting bird vessel
Dimensions: approx 7cm diameter X 7 cm height
small partly glazed vessel of a sitting little bird. I used wax on the top rim to just keep the inside and top glazed whilst the rest is left raw. There is a lot of texture on this little vessel since in the beginning it is the result of an experiment, I was making jugs and this one turned out to be the first test that I decided to turn into a small bird since the spout reminded me of a birds beak, so it was all done on the fly (poetically). An image popped up in my head and instead of reusing the clay for another piece, I decided to keep it and decorate it. I think it’s very unique in its own way and dynamic so I’m really close to this little guy!
this piece is for decorative and flower/plant use, but not food safe.
